In bluer skies...origins.

Blogging started years ago i believe.  Not wanting to be a trend setter i thought i'd leave it a while.  Besides what would i have written about?  Noone would have read it anyway.  Having realised the purpose of a blog can be more for myself and close friends and relations i now have a steer. Noone needs to read it.  Never been a fan of 'facebook' and never will this, seems a bit more of a laid back way of highlighting what i have been up to, thinking and creating without being poked and bothered by other people i have no idea whom they may be.  I met a chap called Richard Ford at Obs in Portland who said how easy it was to write a blog.  So i thought it might be good place to organise thoughts and photographs in a diary type format.

What include?  Well words and photographs really.  Words about the big outdoors be it; birding, walking, our garden, cycling, holidays and other such adventures.  Words about music, football, photography, art, printing and other such pastimes.  Words about things that i might be doing or have done or things i may be doing soon.  Words about anything really and photographs of all of the above and possibly more.

Used to play my music in bars and at a variety of venues of functions over the years.  Not really a DJ but my 'night' needed a name so i plunged for 'Eric's Trip' a title from a track off Sonic Youth's 'Daydream Nation'.  The posters were stylized images from people in my family - a personal trip.  'In Bluer Skies' is an Echo and the Bunnymen track from their album 'Porcupine' and generally the sky is where birds operate best.  All tenuous links and a little bit cheesy but as noone will read this anyway whose to know?
